<p>You should talk to your private teacher about it, but they are very competitive, depending where you are planning to audition. You can double major if you are doing a BA or majoring in performance. Remember that there are a lot of flute players and that it’s one of the most competitive instruments. There are a lot of schools for music though…it just depends where you want to go. I think it’s better to do live auditions, but recorded ones are okay too…again, it depends where you are planning to audition.</p>
