In HI, most of us are barefoot indoors–rude otherwise! No, don’t think sloth is a verb–laze is though.

Afraid to look. I fail at housekeeping and don’t really want to know all the ways I’ve gone wrong.

atomom: flylady is all about NOT feeling like you’ve gone wrong…which is why she is a funny and endearing way to stay with the work that’s never done and love what you do do, not what you haven’t done. worth a peek anyway. I never manage to stay with much of what she suggests but it is still helpful and at times inspiring.

While I agree with those who prefer not to wear shoes indoors, her advice to wear good laced shoes at all times while training a puppy to use the great outdoors is excellent. If you pause to put on shoes you are toast in that situation. And if you’re wearing clogs or slipons it’s really hard to run with a puppy in your arms.

I find her morning cleaning routines fit nicely into my basic routine. I do the quick bathroom clean, start a load of laundry, and do the sink/empty the dishwasher every single morning before anything else happens. Sometimes I don’t get back to any of it until evening, but those ten minutes–and it really is only 10 minutes if you do it every day–sure make things look better at the end of the day. (DH straightens the bed and takes the dogs out.)

Flylady is GREAT. I stopped subscribing because of too many e-mails, but the concept is right on. Spend just 10 minutes at a time and you can accomplish something.

I see one thing I’m doing right–I don’t have a dog! :)
