Football player not admitted to Michigan

I never disagreed that more is missing to the story. Instead, I am responding to the other comments regarding Michigan.

And also, I am not trying to be arrogant or a know it all here. I am simply putting the situation in the opposite prospective.

@iamsocool, I have absolutely nothing against Michigan! It is one of the schools that is recruiting my daughter. I just wonder what part of this story we are not getting. Only something like 2% of athletes that sign National Letters of Intent end up not attending the school they sign for. Coaches must get approval from admissions to extend an offer to a prospective athlete. Athletes receive a preread and are approved for admission before they sign the letter of intent. If the breakdown is in this process, it could negatively affect all Michigan recruits. It is absolutely unfair to take an athlete out of the recruiting game by signing a National Letter of Intent and then not admit the student-athlete, unless there are extenuating circumstances. As I said before, there must be part of this story that we are not hearing.

I agree wholeheartedly about the problems in the SEC, hence my comment about not wanting to see him end up in FL. We have enough thugs of our own, thanks!
