At UCD, you cannot use AP credit for GE (general education) requirements. You might be able to use AP to get out of an entry level course for your major but, for the most part, AP credits are elective units.

Courses for which AP credit has been granted may not substitute coursework required as part of the UC Davis General Education Requirement.

At UCD, your number of AP units does not have an impact on registration priority.

Access to registration for undergraduate students is by priority groups. Priority groups are established according to the number of UC Davis units and non-exam based transfer units completed. Advanced Placement (AP) units, International Baccalaureate (IB) units, and current term enrollment are excluded from this calculation.
