Forteo does help. I didn’t have much choice about the Forteo. I resisted and resisted. I am convinced that it is the best choice for many people. I don’t see half the advertising for Forteo as I do for Boniva/Fosomax.
It was actually my orthopedic surgeon that read me the riot act and told me if I didn’t get back on Forteo (took it for 6 months in 2007) I would break. And, as I said, I do tons of weight bearing exercise and strength exercises. My endoc agreed but says a new drug is soon to be out that I will take after the Forteo.
