For osteoporosis, which type of specialist would you see?

If calcium supplements are bad, then I am in real trouble, I don’t drink milk or eat yogurt at all, tarted taking calcium about 8 years ago or so (before that never even took multivitamin, pretty bad I must admit) when my first bone density report came back not that great. My doctor recommended that I started taking calcium, after that the next 2 bone density reports were ok (no further deterioration), but last year she suggested that I take more vitamin D.

How much Vitamin D is the ideal amount? I read various articles, seems like they all talk about different amounts.
