My internist wants me to have another dexascan this September. My last one was in 2012 & I fractured my fibula this month. I’ve been on inhaled steroids now since 2000, am petite, post menopausal, Asian, and female. My paternal grandmother had osteoperosis, I believe. My older sister has had several fractured ribs–once from auto accidents and once just from coughing/sneezing. She doesn’t make any special efforts to take or consume calcium or dairy. I’m crossing my fingers my scan continues to be “normal.”
