16gb has been full for a while now. Am eyeing the 64gb.

I like my 5. It does everything I need it to do. I paid for it out of pocket, so I can keep my month to month unlimited data plan. I dont know why the phone companies make a big deal about discounting phones. The monthly charges assure them plenty of money.
It could be a tiny bit bigger, but not the size of the six+.
I don’t want my phone to be that big, I like being able to use it with one hand & I have small hands.
I did just double the memory on my iPod mini retina order.
Now Im shopping for a case.
I have a bookbook wallet for my phone, but thinking maybe a dodocase for the ipad.
Im going to pick it up in store, but that is because my mail person wont deliver my mail.
Before the 19th. :)

You can pre-order on the 12th. I plan to do that (happy birthday to me). I’m getting the 6/64. I will also promptly order a case from Otterbox which will cover up my gorgeous new phone, but also keep it safe.

The new glass is supposed to be super strong, MOWC. Well, thats what they always say…

That’s what they said about the original glass some years back…until customers and happenstance definitively proved them wrong.

Lost count of how many folks I’ve seen walk around with cracked iphones/ipads.

I’m more comfortable with an Otterbox case on my phone. I’ve never broken a phone (fingers crossed).

OK… I’ve had iPhones for at least six years, and I’ve never cracked a glass… come to think of it - of all three of us (me and two Ds) who have all had iPhones for about the same length of time, only one of us has had a cracked glass, once.

The glass will not be shatterproof. If you drop it, it will break as easily as the current one. However, it is supposed to be super uber freakin’ scratch resistant.

“Clearly BB you are not a 5 fan!!!”

Nope. Worst of the 3-5 series so far. I had the pleasure of owning a 4s but got convinced by a friend that I “needed” a 5 (said friend eagerly took the 4s off my hands).

My 5 has been good, except for battery life. I did the free battery replacement deal a couple of weeks ago which has helped considerably, but I still don’t like to be far from a power source of some type.

What free battery replacement deal?
I do have an extended battery case, and a charger in my car.
But you can also extend life by tweaking the settings and I use battery apps like battery doctor to help me do that.

I’m also interested in the longer battery, I don’t like to have to recharging, how much more does anybody know?

The 4s isn’t part of the battery replacement deal, EK.

It is actually at the discretion of Apple who gets a battery and who will not. D’s battery was really bad form the very beginning, but Apple says it is perfect since the serial number is not on their list. I cannot even imagine how bad a “bad” battery is.

My serial number WAS on their list but they tested the battery and said it was in good shape and didn’t need replacement.

Does anyone understand the ATT pricing options? What changed? I get the monthly payment one, but isn’t the pay up front option the same as in the past?

I was asking about the iphone 5.
Mine is fine, but my daughters phone has never had much life and she bought it during the time frame of the recall. Her serial number isnt listed but the battery is covered.

Too bad we cant delete duplicate posts anymore.

I’m glad I managed to gain skills on how to replace the battery on my Ipod by watching a techie friend botch his badly when he tore the fragile ribbon cable which effectively killed his Ipod.

When it came time to replace the battery on mine, I just ordered the replacement battery, did the replacement, and was up and running with the new battery within 20 minutes.

Never knew about the battery replacement deal. Forwarded it to the kids. Mine works ok as does H’s.
