<p>Last year was an odd situation for JHU. They had a relatively low yield, so they dipped into the waitlist. John Latting, the Dean of Admissions, was quoted in the Wall Street Journal as basically emphatically stating that such a situation “will not occur next year [i.e. 2005].” </p>
<p>I don’t want to dash anyone’s hopes, but it’s very unlikely that that many people will be admitted off the waitlist. Don’t give up, but look into your other options. Remember that JHU accepts a LOT of transfers, even after one semester. </p>
