@MI3rdClosingAct where did she end up and what were the deciding factors for her in making a final choice? I know we are a few months from that point but I’d love to know how others made their final decisions and if they are happy with them!
In New York, I went with my son to his first audition at Pearl because there was a parent session but after that, he went on his own and I waited at the hotel. When we had to travel to auditions that weren’t in Pearl Studios, I went with him to help carry things.
Basically the same thing in Chicago - we walked around the audition floors at the Palmer House to get comfortable with where things were located and if there was a parent session, I attended but otherwise, he went on his own. When he had to travel to auditions to other locations in Chicago, I went with him.
We met a young man last year who did it all on his own - he flew to many on campus auditions across the country by himself and he managed just fine but he seemed very happy to find a friendly face and eager to talk things over when we crossed paths. I think even the most independent kids sometimes need to know there is a safe place to decompress.
@mamaboyz Emerson has auditions on Friday but I don’t know if they take walk ins.
I’d be very surprised if Emerson did walk-ins considering that the audition block for those who passed the prescreen and registered to audition at Unifieds is 4 hours long.
Thanks all for your helpful replies!
