paste your code and make this open-source…

Texasmathwhiz: That’s somewhat scary because my parents are upper-middle class and UChicago is one of my top choices…

I’m considering giving out my code later, but due to a suggestion from someone on one of my threads, I may end up keeping it so I can send it to colleges and stuff.

Also I’m not giving it out yet because I’m not done.

Claridge, my program is psychic man! Good luck, I hope it’s right, U Chicago is one of my possibilities too.

By the way I’ve been editing the code so that’s the reason for the delay of fortunes.

Since not all colleges have 3000 per class, I changed the class size to a variable that is randomly chosen between 1000 and 6000 since that is around the right range for most colleges.

This also required a change in the method for computing class rank which was fairly easy.

Last, I think a discrepency in the primitive types of each variable has caused problems with the editing I did for your position in a company, which was formerly determined by how good the class rank was.

I’ve decided class rank is not an adequate measure of success in climbing the corporate ladder so I made a math.random() method that computes a number which determines your position on the corporate ladder.

There are CEO’s that don’t go to college and valedictorians who get their PhDs and still live without much luxury. So I decided randomness is a better measure for position on the corporate ladder for now.

can you do my fortune?

See, what you should do is make each college that could be attended of object “college.” (Pertaining to the coding of your program)

Then have each college (of type college) have the attributes for class size and range of sats and such.

On a side note, try to begin programming based mainly on object orientation. It will make your programs more editable, easier to write, easier to read through, and easier to have other people help you (on teams).

hey texasmathwhiz, do my fortune! plz…
