Foundation fellows applicants

@GADawg - you are wrong and we have it from the horse’s mouth. A FF from my son’s school turned down the UGA scholarship two years ago for Harvard. Last year two Ramsey’s from his school turned them down, one for Yale and one for Stanford. College counselor at the school found out after talking to UGA my son was being “punished” because UGA figures he would go to a more prestigious school, turning UGA down if he were offered the scholarship. Her words were UGA wants to keep their “yeild up”. My son is a finalist for the Jefferson at University of Virginia and Danforth at Wash U in St. Louis. So he does have other opportunities - some would say better opportunities. But after hearing a presentation by Jessica Hunt in Athens and meeting David Williams at his high school, he really wanted to go to UGA. The purpose of the UGA scholarships is to attract those highly qualified students. Very disappointing. Call it sour grapes if you want…we are VERY sour on Georgia.
