If you’re fluent in a language, you probably won’t be able to take it here. However, the exception to this is thta some core classes are taught in a foreign language, so if you want an extra challenge or if it’s something that you think would be fun, you could do this. There aren’t many, but that is an option.

Also, it’s possible to get a minor in a language here, which you can do if you take 4 classes of a particular language at the 200-level or higher. However, if you’re too good at the language and place ridiculously high, I don’t think this is really an option.

I encourage anyone who’s interested in languages to maybe try a new one if they having quite a bit of experience in another one. It could broaden your horizons as well as be a little challenging; you do NOT want to waste time in a class where you learn absolutely nothing, regardless of what grade you may get.
