Fraternity Rush

^Future networking with the past Greek affiliation could maybe help a little with job seeking down the road.

Not to get off course too much on this Greek thread, but as far as future jobs, an FSU resource that I am definitely going to check out as soon as I get to FSU next week is the FSU Career Center. FSU talked up the Career Center at freshmen orientation big time, and also in e-bulletins I have received from FSU–the Career Center has been mentioned several times. I guess at FSU, with today’s tough job market, the placement of graduates into jobs is a top priority with FSU, hence FSU pushing the Career Center so much. It was stressed that the center is not just for seniors getting ready to seek jobs, but the center is also recommended to even brand new freshmen. For example, students may do 2 mock job interviews (free of charge) at the center each semester–even new freshmen. The center also offers career advising and guidance with picking a major at FSU. I’m going to check the center out because I want every advantage I can get when I finish school and I’m looking for a job. BTW, I lucked out and lined up a part time job already on campus working in a clinic while attending FSU full time beginning this fall semester. I got the job the old fashioned way–phoning until I got a job.
