Free Summer Programs

Hello again -

My DD met students from ALL over of the country - up and down the east coast and as far as California, Wisconsin and Alaska … locally (Metro DC - Northern VA - Maryland).

To begin - a note - last year STEM was for grades 7 and 8… this year they decided intensify it for grades 8 - 11… so the depth will obviously be different. If it wasn’t exam week at my DD’s school she would be going back.

DD said the classes “lectures” came first followed by a hands on approach and then a presentation approach to each topic they covered. It is a shorter experience so there wasn’t an enormous amount of time to go VERY indepth; however, the material they covered was superb and they had a GREAT time.

I can’t comment on CTY - because my DD hasn’t gone there - and the time length makes it hard to compare. Obviously CTY is longer allowing students to go a great deal further. However, for a 5 day program that is FREE I would encourage you to apply and do both !

It is ABSOLUTELY worth your time to drive down here to attend.
