Board of Trustees made the announcement this afternoon.

Most media is also reporting on the story.

The Cooper Union will reduce the scholarship amount by 50% for those freshmen entering the schools in the fall of 2014. (It is reported that the scholarship is valued at $38,500 / year, making Cooper Tuition a baseline of ~$20,000 / year before financial aid, room and board, and books.

Reports are there will be financial aid for those who qualify… I imagine there will be a sliding scale for aid, based on your ability to pay, although the school admits they still need to work out the details on how to calculate that formula.
