<p>I’ll echo what phospholipase said, and to answer your question about taking courses in bio, you can take them, as long as you meet the prerequisites.</p>
<p>In MechE, you need to take a course to fulfill the Life Sciences GE requirement, so you can take a “real” bio class like LS 1 or LS 2 if you want to. There are also other classes that aren’t quite bio classes that still fulfill the Life Sciences requirement if you want to avoid bio.</p>
