Freshman Cources Kelley DA

Are you coming in with any AP credit? If not, you will need 1 natural science course, 2 A&H classes, and one of the World Culture options. More details are in this link. Note that the science class you choose must qualify as a natural science, and there are classes that double count for A&H and world culture.

For calculus, I would go with M119 unless you want a math minor or something like that. There is not any real reason to take a harder calculus than necessary for most people. For English, it probably does not matter a whole lot. Neither of the English classes is more difficult that the other, so I would just pick one with a professor that has a good grade distribution and good ratings on ratemyprofessors.com. The grade distribution database is the link below.

The order in which you take these classes really doesn’t matter a whole lot. I would separate the math classes, and T134 must be taken 1st semester, but other than that it’s pretty much up to you. You also take another 1 credit KLLC course 2nd semester. Maybe you could do something like this. You could also add something like D270 to 2nd semester if you needed 1.5 more credits and want to get an easy required class out of the way. Let me know if you have any questions.
