<p>UD senior here. I have to counter everyone else on here, I have had a car on campus all 4 years and I think it is very nice to have. While not necessary by any means, it is nice to be able to drive to drive town around for errands (supermarket, kmart, mall) and also nice to be able to make your own trips home without relying on others. </p>
<p>In terms of parking location, the people warning about spots at the stadium likely applied for permits after the beginning of fall semester. Apply before classes begin and you’ll have a spot within relatively easy walking distance of your dorm. The longer you wait after the start of the academic year, the more likely you will be assigned to south campus.</p>
