Freshman registration

First, take a deep breath. :stuck_out_tongue: I was totally petrified signing up for classes last summer, but it will all be OK.

What you should do is make up a timetable of courses you want to take (which will be hard until you get your USEM, but you can start now). Put in a few alternate course choices as well.

When you sign up, foreign languages should be your first priority if you want to take it. They open up a few more spaces for incoming freshman, but those are hard to get into no matter what grade you’re in so sign up for those ASAP. Foreign language classes are some of the few where the cap cannot be ignored. In many other classes, you can email the professor and generally if you show enough interest, they’ll let you in- but not always.

If you don’t mind me asking, which courses are you thinking about? I’m happy to help you out with which classes to sign up for first, alternate classes, and good professors. :)
