Concerning the earlier discussion about a limit of 1000 graduates per year - I think there is a congressional limit of 4000 on the academy enrollment rather than on the size of the graduating class. Theoretically the academy could graduate 1000 out of an enrollment of 4000, but it isn’t going to happen. Sometimes the enrollment probably goes a little over 4000, but congress doesn’t really seem to care all that much about it.

<p>As per US Code Title 10 Subtitle D Part III Chapter 903 paragraph j, RTBdad is kinda correct. The allocation now is 4400. There is no law limiting the number of graduates out of this total number. If the numbers at the last day of class each year exceed this end strenght by more than 1%, there are ramifications which are not pleasant. So if a cadet has an academic board after second semester and the total Cadet Corps strength is 4445, make plans to be a civilian. Smilie.</p>
