<p>The actual notification comes by mail, and last year there were students who did not get an email who still got the mailing. AND THERE ARE REPORTS here on CC of those who appealed and got in, especially those with acceptances during the priority deadline. </p>
<p>I think they opened the priority housing application early because the site often crashed just at/after midnight for a time, so this took some of the load off of the servers. It has been posted here for years to CHECK EARLY because of the back door ways to know you are in. </p>
<p>To be honest, the first 1000 priority numbers for housing are all good numbers. Because some of those students eventually loose their number (didn’t pay deposit or did not sent parental consent if under 17), and others go elsewhere in-state or out of state a number of 1000 means a housing slot of more like 600.</p>
