Freshmen applicants who want to do nursing in FSU’s nursing program now have to apply to both FSU for general admission and also do a separate app for the Nursing College. If you are accepted to FSU’s nursing program as a freshman applicant, I would give very serious consideration to going to FSU for your nursing career preparation.

It is very competitive getting into nursing programs at any university today and at many universities you apply to a limited enrollment nursing program after a year or two of general studies and prerequiste course work for nursing; you could end up getting denied admission to nursing program after investing 2 years at the school and end up having to change majors or have to transfer to another college to do nursing education. If FSU lets you in their nursing program as a new freshman, it might not be wise to pass FSU up for another college where your ultimate admission to a nursing program is still uncertain.
