"Fun" 06 starts Monday!

do u guys have to take the final exams in your classes after you take ap exam?

tues-ap spanish
next tues- govt
next wed- apes

nope, no exams if i take the ap exams

Our school requires some sort of written exam because other wise we wouldn’t show up and they get money for every kiud that goes to school that day. But last year our ‘final’ for apwh was a cross word puzzle that she gave everyone 100’s on. So my grade went from .like n 88 to an 90. One teacher just made everyone write their name. We just watch movies after the exam.

AP Calc Wed—yes, we also have a final exam (only 3 out of 12 in the class are taking the AP exam). it consists of an old AP test. you get whatever you score out of 5 added to your grade in percentage points (i think i have a 94, so a 5 would be nice) and you need a 3,4 or 5 to pass. if you get a 1 or a 2, you still get extra credit, you just fail the class.

APUSH fri----again here, although 75% of the class is taking the exam, there is a final, which consists of an old AP exam…but its only pass/fail. I already took the MC part, so to pass i need 2’s on all my essays (I think this is doable ;)). All year on essays assigned for hw or in class essays i got 1 7/9, 2 8/9’s, and 29 9’s…i’m not that good of a writer so i figure my teacher just can’t grade (although he goes to San Antonio to grade actual AP essays each year, so maybe I’m just the man)…either way, this “final” is not a problem.

AP Chem next wed—if you take the AP test, no final, if you don’t (i am :)), you have to 68 total points on an old AP test, which really shouldn’t be too bad. we also have a “final” project on pharmacutical (sp?) sales where you have to give a 10 min oral presentation on a drug, discussing the chemical properties during it, and try to “make the sale,”…this is kind of stupid, since we get graded on “energy” and how well we convinced our peers to buy the drug (I have estrogen tablets for post-menopausal women :(). Also, we have a lab practical, but there are only 6 experiments (titrations, etc.) and only basic calculations, so this shouldnt be THAT bad.

I have IIC, USH, Chem SAT II’s sat, too.

The only class I’m really missing these days is Spanish, but knowing my teacher he’ll probably give like 8000000 assignments just to spite us. Gah, I hate makeup work.
