Gaining Fall Acceptance

I understand that she’s upset, but she should take more of a “glass-half-full” point of view and realized that she was accepted after all. She could have been rejected, like thousands of qualified applicants.

I think she’s also very mistaken if she thinks that she’s more qualified than someone who was accepted off the waitlist for the fall semester. If she was “more qualified” then she would have been admitted for the fall.

I think she should be happy that she was admitted and if Brandeis truly is her “dream school” than waiting a few months is hardly a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

FYI: 30 years ago, Brandeis was my dream school. I applied ED, was deferred and then got in under the regular admissions cycle. Spring admissions was not available back then, but if it was and the choice came down to spring admissions at Brandeis or going elsewhere, I would have jumped at the chance to go to Brandeis.
