<p>NewHavenCtMom, Gates covered my daughters work study all four years. Gates sent the school the amount that was on her FA award letter and then they would disburse her a check at the beginning of each semester.</p>
<p>@LanaHere, what is your EFC from your SAR report? What is the cost of attendance for the school that you want to go to?</p>
<p>@LanaHere, I think your still confused on the loan aspect. The purpose of GMS is to reduce your need to take loans. At this point you want to be careful as well, because in our case the only loans available for my son is those that accrue interest starting from day 1. That is a major no no in our books, but if there is ever a point when we don’t have a choice, we’ll move in that direction.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how many people had made it to the second round? I remember I heard the number 2000 being tossed around a while back, but I don’t know how much speculation that was.</p>

<p>@GA2012MOM wow, okay…that’s good to know, the young woman I spoke to last week was very meek & I could barely understand her. Every question I asked, she would put me on hold to find out the answer. So I didn’t feel all that confident after our interaction to say the least. </p>

<p>@rhythmandbible I have been constantly refreshing my email hoping that I get an answer. Mine comes in like at 12-1, I wanna leave school to check haha. I am not a patient person so its getting to me ha. </p>

So should we expect to get notified today? When were scholarship recipients notified last year?</p>
<p>I think we’ll hear back from them probably on Thursday-Saturday via the mail. People from last year received their package on Thursday April 18.</p>
