Gay life at Wellesley?

Kitkat, I haven’t seen the posts you’re referring to, but I don’t think they’re aimed so much at homophobic families as at straight people who are anxious to know there is room for them, too. My D is a first-year at Wellesley and loves it. She’s a devout Christian (and sometimes the only Christian in her classes) and has met with nothing but open-minded acceptance. One of her friends is a lesbian who says the same thing. There is a very active LGBT group on campus, and D says the people in her res hall are open about their orientation and no one seems to be judgmental.

While no school is going to be perfect (jerks are everywhere and from all backgrounds), one of the beauties of a top notch liberal arts school is that you’re more likely to find genuine intellectuals there.
