<p>Wow, Countingdown! My kids exactly! And home schooled. Don’t want to mention their college choices or I’d be bragging! But they had fun the whole way. Childhood is too important to waste.</p>

DS1 used to have a British accent for some words when he was little because he read so much Rev. W. Awdry, Beatrix Potter, etc…it was VERY charming!</p>
<p>My feeling is that if kids are sponges, better have good stuff around for them to soak up, or they’ll absorb whatever garbage their little sponges touch…</p>
<p>Didn’t Roald Dahl say that by 10 or 11 children should be reading “proper adult fiction”? I may be off on the ages, but not by much!</p>
