General Airline Travel Discussion including trip insurance

Not sure where to put this but I’ll put it here assuming there is more discussion here than trip insurance…

Saw this pic - thought it would be fun to see what people choose - what seat are you choosing? Assume you’re traveling alone or that you can be guaranteed your travel partner gets a seat next to you.

The prompt is: You’re traveling on a 10 hour flight - which seat do you choose - and why?

Love this! At first I thought it was just seat selection. I didn’t realize they were all celebrities! I’ll take the aisle seat across from Keanu Reeves I prefer aisle seats and don’t want to sit next to someone else if possible. And Simon on the other side isn’t too terrible either.

I reserve the right to edit if I see something better. I’m on my phone and it’s a bit hard to see

This may belong in the PF () but as much as I dislike center seats, I will sit either in 2A next to Kamala, or 2D between Taylor Swift and Idris Elba. This is assuming all the seats will be filled. Otherwise I am taking the aisle seat in Kamala’s row.

Yeah, I’d sit next to Keanu Reeves. He seems like a very nice and fascinating person. Taylor Swift would be my 2nd choice, haha!

Keanu Reeves is reportedly rather shy. Might not be much of a conversationalist.

1D because I’m a guy!!

But normally an aisle - any of them.

Don’t notice the celebs. Wouldn’t impact where I sit.

And that’s perfect for me! I want someone quiet and also considerate of others. He fits the bill perfectly.

And I assumed there wouldn’t be anyone else, or you might get lucky and nobody would fill the center seat.

I know one seat I absolutely would not take lol

3F for me - I’m a window gal and I help the pilot fly from my seat. Guess I’m the only one that could care less about who is famous and who I’m sitting next to.

OMG I didn’t realize that at all!! LOL. Now there is a new spin on it!!!

I seriously didn’t take note of the celebs.

You can play along with that or just pretend the seat holders are regular Joes and pick what is your comfort seat for 10 hours.

If they were regular joes, my seat choices would be totally different. I’d take 4B (but NOT with the current nearby seatmates, except for Pacino. He’s a keeper).

In the last row of first class or premium economy which is what those seats look like on a 10 hour flight. Next to Kobe

Then we could recline without bothering the people behind up.

But order our food ahead so they don’t run out of selections before they get to us and I have to get the vegetarian meal

I noticed the person in the front first and I was like “wait… that looks like…”

I probably would still pick the same. Aisle seat with a chance not to have anyone in the middle, preferably not by the toilet in the back

I’m an aisle seat person. Definitely 2C or 3C . Near Kamala or Keanu.

If certain seats were the only empty ones, I would walk off the plane.

Guessing the women would not want 5A or any other seat next to someone with a reputation of being too touchy/feely/grabby.

Delete. Thought the post was aimed at my seat selection. It wasn’t. It was at Donald Trump

why is row 5 in front and row 1 in back ?.

I have consistently heard that Keanu Reeves is a very nice and responsible person. Sitting next to him (3D) would be very tempting.

I think that talking to Elon Musk for an hour or a few hours would be very interesting (4C). I would be very tempted to sit next to him. I might learn quite a bit. I doubt that it would be all that difficult to get him to express an opinion.

Musk seems to be sitting in a larger seat. I am a big guy.

I personally would avoid seat 5A in this particular case. Whether I would mostly agree or disagree with the person sitting next to me, I do not think that I would enjoy the conversation.

As a large person who therefore tries to upgrade whenever possible, and having flown quite a bit in my life, I have gotten to sit beside a few famous people. At least the famous people I have sat next to have been very gracious and interesting to talk to. I would expect this to be the majority, but obvious does not apply to all famous people.

Not accusing you of that. But 5A is next to someone with that reputation. And women tend to be more attuned to that risk than men.

Sorry I thought 5 was where I pointed I would sit. Who would label the from row 5 and the 5th row 1?

Many females, politics depending, would love to sit next to him, think he’s charming…til the aftermath.

Let’s move on from this quiz - it is becoming political, and therefore should be in the Politics forum.
