General retirement travel plans

I do a weekend at a (low key) spa every year (or two) with a group of grade school girlfriends. We each book whatever treatments and/or classes we want and meet for meals. A nice thing is that without planning it, things seem to work out that we get some one on one time with one another in addition to our group time.

I’ve got an overnight flight from Brazil, arriving early AM in Panama. I’ve booked a tour guide/driver who will pick me up and take me to the locks of the Panama Canal and another area for viewing the canal. I don’t think I have time to take a boat as I have to be back for a late afternoon flight. But should be fun.

Edited: Actually I was able to take a boat in the canal next to the ships. Really cool. The guide/boat driver kept trying to take me to islands where they could feed various kind of monkeys, which was interesting, but much more interesting was just being in the canal near the boats (and seeing the lock system work). I also did a business zoom call for half an hour from the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. I skipped a lunch in the Old Town to do the boat ride and am back in the airport now eating lunch in “beach side” resort created by Corona. Then on to the lounge and then my flight home.
