@CharCollege correct but if 50 with no window is close to DC then it might explain yesterday’s post about an acceptance with .50 postage near DC (but we don’t know what the envelope is).
@max2737 I will type out:
Dear Ms. XXXXXXX
The Committee on Admissions has completed its review of your application for admission to the Georgetown University Class of 2023. This year Georgetown considered nearly 23,000 well-qualified candidates for an entering class of 1,600 first-year students. Although you have not been selected for admission, the Committee would like to offer you a place on our Waiting List.
You must confirm your place on the Waiting List no later than April 15 by following the enclosed instructions. If spaces in the first-year class become available, the Committee will reconvene during the first two weeks of May to consider applicants who have elected to remain on our Waiting List. The Waiting List I saw not ranked in advance, so it is not possible to give you an estimate of your chances of Admission. However, the enclosed chart detailing the admission rate of Waiting List candidates in recent years provides helpful context. Final decisions will be mailed by May 15.
We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your continued interest in Georgetown.
Sincerely,
Charles A. Deacon
The return address on my son’s $0.65 no window envelope says Georgetown University Office of Undergraduate Admissions; no mention of which school. Has the Georgetown logo as well.
USPS Informed is down again - probably all the anxious parents looking for letters from colleges have overwhelmed their servers.
My DS is on a school trip and won’t be back until late Saturday night - going to be a long wait to find out.
i just got home and checked and there was nothing…from northern virginia (abt 30 min from campus)
@Photonmaker My letter is the same and will be arriving soon. So I’ll keep you posted.
23,000 seems like a small amount of applicants for a school with Georgetown’s reputation for academic excellence. One of the Ivy League schools, I think Cornell, had about 49,000 applicants for c/o 2023.
.65 stamp, small window on left with address, I can make out send $900 by May 1…I’m thinking this is good news my daughter gets home at 3
Oh I have 3 mail pieces in my informed delivery with no pictures oof.
Ok starting to look like .65 with or without window may be acceptance. Keep them coming!
Frustrating that nothings coming to CT today! If the mail made it as far as NY, … It’s not that much farther!
@GStrait That gives me hope. I’m supposed to have window wit with .65…hoping for good news for my daughter!
Hi everyone, now that this application journey is over for me I thought I’d share my stats and final results. Maybe it will help some reconcile their results this year, and maybe it will help those next year…
