Georgia Southern vs Georgia College and State U

Thanks again for all of the information and clarifications. We have removed both schools from the list in favor of other schools.

I am just hoping that with my son’s low B average we end up with more matches than reaches. I know we will know more once he takes the SAT and ACT but test taking is not his strong point. His B average is the balance of lower test/quiz scores and higher homework/project grades.

@LisaSprague, my daughter’s good friend started at Coastal Carolina and disliked it enough to transfer out after her first year. I don’t know the reasons behind her transfer out but my son was definitely influenced by her decision and does not want to apply.

I was talking about Georgia State. I thought the abbreviation was GSU. It’s not a regional, directional, or flagship. I’m not sure what to call it. Georgia Tech kind of fall the same way. It’s neither of the 3.

Yes GSU is Ga State. Southern is just that.
