Anyone heard back from Honors Program yet?
Is there anyway that you can give me any details about what classes you took, your gpa, and some EC’s that you participated in so that I could see how I measure up to what GT accepts? I am currently a junior in HS and am wondering if I should apply to GT and if I would have a chance. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Congrats on getting accepted!!!

ACT - 31 (first take), 32( second take) power score= 33 (I don’t think GT looks at your power score)
GPA - I took the IB so i got a 40/45 predicted I think its about a 3.7/3.8 UW
Classes - Physics HL, Chemistry SL, Math SL, English A Lang/Lit HL, Chinese B HL, Economics SL
Alot of people who have higher scores than me were rejected so I guess it really depends on your ECs and the essays.
ECAs: MUN 7 years, JV and Varsity basketball team, JV volleyball team captain, founder of our school’s coding club, produced a short documentary that was nominated for best picture in the Qatar international film festivals, and a bunch of internships, other ECs and social works. (ended up with around 350 CAS hours)

@Jubilantlearner thank you for the response!! Yes my ACT is not good I took it once so far but of course I am preparing before I take it again. I have some good EC’s and it’s really stressful trying to balance it all lol. But I know it will be worth it eventually

My intended major was Computational media, but I changed it to computer science.
Did anybody receive a confirmation after agreeing to join the honors college? I didn’t and am stressed…

Hi, am trying to decide between Georgia Tech and Emory, as I am interested in science with an additional interest in buisness.
Go to GT on the grounds that it is far cheaper. Emory is just too expensive, and they don’t have much over Tech in anything.
Jubilantlearner- do you mean superscore? Not familiar with poser score.

@jym626 I think superscore is for SAT and powerscore is for ACT, atleast thats what people at my school call it…
Ther is a test prep company called power score, but I believe the term is superscore for both SAT and ACT. That said, ACT has on its website a policy statement that the test is not meant to be super scored!
