Paul Johnson accepted the head coaching job at Georgia Tech yesterday, leaving Navy after six seasons during which he rebuilt the program.</p>

<p>He replaces Chan Gailey, who was fired Nov. 26.</p>

<p>“I do not think there is another program I would have left the Naval Academy for,” Johnson said at a press conference introducing him as the Yellow Jackets’ new coach. “When we coach, we search for a school or football program that you can compete on a national level for championships, and certainly I feel that way about Georgia Tech.”…
