We could have afforded Tech due to in-state tuition and scholarships, plus husband’s degree is from there. D did not even want to tour it. She wanted a more personal school and feels very settled on her choice to go to UAH. Full tuition and housing (with separate bedrooms, no less) makes it all the sweeter. You don’t want to have to deal with Atlanta traffic, anyway - it’s a nightmare! Who knows how much longer these generous merit scholarships will last, but with UAH attracting so many top students and so many great employment opportunities right there (coops, internships, and beyond), what’s not to like?
