<p>@ringo to be fair, that statement isn’t really true. I’m an American living in Singapore right now, and while my American friends agree that tech is much stronger in engr than ucla, I’ve realized that Singaporeans tend to think that both have the same level prestige wise when it comes to engr, but if you’re talking the humanities, both ucla and Berkeley are seen as the figurative holy grail here. </p>
<p>And of course, the budget cuts thing. It doesn’t look good, especially for out of state kids.</p>
