getting a job

i assume many jobs at uchicago will ask for a resume. how detailed should a resume be for a campus job? mine is pretty sparse anyway. do they care about past volunteer experience? in general, what do they care about?

It depends on the job. If it’s a job in the library or swipe cards in the athletic center, they probably won’t care about much of anything on your resume. If it’s a job in a lab or something like that, only past scientific experience will carry weight. Don’t worry too much about the resume, most positions aren’t terribly competitive- they’re either available or they’re not.
