Northeastern does not publish anything about scholarships or admission rates by school or major. They say they are all treated equally and award a particular scholarship to the top percentage of students (in a holistic manner - not just scores).

All scholarships are granted on a per semester basis for 8 semesters (since you will have 8 academic semesters and a number of co-op semesters - where you don’t pay tuition). If you take summer classes (and most students do) - you get half the award because summer tuition is half (and it is counted as a half a semester used)

@mddaddy I dont have much to offer as far as knowledge about Tulane however I do know that Northeastern offers combined or dual majors and there is one for Biology and Business. this might really work well for your daughter’s interests.

My son is undecided in the Explore Program and got a Dean’s Scholarship so I think if you are qualified you can get it for any of the schools. I believe it is offered to the top 10-15% of applicants.

Need a 3.8 GPA to get into honors college as an enrolled student. That may sound easy to some, but one quirky professor, a bad grade on a paper or test, or just not adjusting to college life well can bring the grade down quickly. Doing some quick math and you need 3 As and a B+, or 2As and 2A- to meet the grade requirement. Being in honors does make housing decisions easier, but if you connect with non-honors friends as a freshman you may not be interested in the Honors housing.

If being in an honors program is a major part of your college goals go with Tulane and don’t assume that the NU honors program is a given. If it is just a nice perk and you like NU more then go with NU.
