<p>A lot of local businesses/organizations offer small scholarships in my area ($500-$1000). I plan on applying for some since many of them are just checks written to the recipient of the scholarship. That way, if I do get into the Academy, I’ll have money to pay for PPL. Also nice to have extra spending/travel money. After all, who wouldn’t want a $1000 check?</p>
