<p>im not a student at kenyon, but i do live right up the road in apple valley and i visit gambier frequently. Ive heard “rumors” or “legends” that the gates of hell are in gambier; specifically in the old church that is on campus. If you know gambier, youll also know the upside-down tree, which grows right next to that church. Oddly enough, the branches of this tree have grown towards the ground (or towards hell?). You can actually go through the branches to the center of the tree, and it feels like you are inside a dome. Its the wildest thing ever. Just a bit of speculation, but interesting all the same.</p>
