Girls: Do you like a guy who...

Thanks for all the replies. Let me just clear up a few things first. I listed all those playful things in succession to emphasize that we were a compatible couple that could have a little fun. By no way did I mean to say that I performed those actions daily or even frequently as some of you have assumed, but rather I would do some of those things during appropriate times.

Many of you have mentioned that the farting (maybe that’s not the best word) noise is kind of disturbing or gross and I can understand why but it was something I did to cheer her up when she was down. Furthermore, I can see why many of you may think that my first girlfriend and I were too playful from my original post but that’s not true. We have serious conversations, kiss, etc like every other couple but the reason why I posted this thread in the first place was to learn if most girls enjoyed having some fun once in a while because my current girlfriend does not at all.

I don’t know, I just feel like I’m not as connected to her as my first girlfriend. To be honest she kind of boring and has a dull personality but she a wonderful person though and I do love her. From what I gathered in this thread, I can see that half of you do not like this stuff at all and the other half like it to some moderation.

^^I would reconsider your relationship with this girl, what you think is “love” might be something else. Better to find what you’re looking for than to string her along and then decide later that it’s time to find what you actually want.

beeohbeeoh,

I don’t know why everyone is hating on you right now for being silly once and a while.

You need to break up with your current girlfriend.

If you like to do cutesy and silly stuff in your relationship then you should find a girl that likes this stuff (obviously). Don’t settle with someone just because they happen to be a nice person.

Also keep in mind that a lot of people, many of which have replied to this thread, have watched far too many romantic comedies. They have this fantasy of what a man is and how he acts, and if there are relationship problems then it is the guy’s fault. Their is no correct way to approach this, and their is no optimal level of sillyness that you should be gunning for.

You shouldn’t be asking yourself is whether or not girls prefer guys who like doing cutesy stuff, but where girls who like it hang out.

I like being silly, though it can be taken too far (I’d cruelly kill my current BF for trying half of the things you posted while I’m PMSing).

But I like being playful such as you posted. But again moods vary. I do not however like the pulling out of chairs and all that jazz. I got annoyed the last time my bf did that. It was random. And weird. And I’m capable of getting my own chair/opening my own door.

If your current gf doesn’t like being very playful and you do, I don’t imagine you two will enjoy each other for much longer…

OP, if you two were so compatible, why did you guys break up?

can i get yo numba

It really depends on the girl, ultimately. I have friends who expect to be treated really seriously, are afraid of being embarrassed, and seek the sort of romance they’ve seen in Disney movies. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Prince give the Princess a raspberry in any of those films.

I, on the other hand, do not like relationships that aren’t a little silly, because it’s fun to goof around, as long as it’s kept to appropriate scenarios. That is, no tickle fights in the middle of a funeral, but if I want to play “HERE COMES THE AIRPLANE” with a french fry in A&W, that’s okay. My point here is that there are other women out there who are more like your first girlfriend, and if you really miss that in a relationship, you should seek something new instead of staying with someone you don’t seem to be all that compatible with.
