Girls Weekend Ideas Needed

OK - if you are heading to St Augustine - hopefully the light display will be on when you go in November. The entire town is illuminated. The drive from St Augustine up to Ponte Vedra Beach is really beautiful. You can have lunch or dinner at the Pone Vedra Lodge or the Inn. We rented “fat bikes” and rode for miles on the beach.

The tourist tour of Flagler College includes the dining hall. Just don’t go at mealtime! It doesn’t include the library. But you do walk past the library and can see the windows on the outside. They don’t want to disrupt the students which is why the library isn’t included…and the dining hall isn’t during meal time.

The main building is the hotel, and the tour starts there. It’s fascinating hearing about the place. Very pretty painting on the walls too. The place has been meticulously maintained.

When we took the hop on hop off bus, Flagler was one of the stops. You go in through the very lush courtyard of plantings and into the main building where you purchase your tickets for the actual tour. The tour guides are students who are very well trained docents. It’s like a museum tour.

Consider the Floridian for dinner, especially if you have vegetarians or vegans in your party.
