The thing to remember is that just because you’ve been to a doctor, even a specialist with a good reputation in the area of concern, doesn’t mean they’re good, curious, or driven to do anything except the one or two interventions they’re skilled at. I’ve been stunned by how uninformed, but arrogantly confident some of the providers in our community are.

Have you heard of the Epley Maneuver? I have a friend who swears it cured his vertigo.
I’d certainly want a definitive diagnosis before I went through that. Epley can work wonders for BPPV, it can make other forms of vertigo worse.

I was getting desperate before I tried Epley maneuver. It was just random strikes of dizziness with movement that I had for several months. I tried it and it was like a miracle–dizziness gone instantly.
