Just checking back in to report that my S did receive the merit and Glynn invites! Yay! His mentioned the $25,000 per year one but no other specifics. I looked through the list of all the merit possibilities and I think there are a few that fit that amount.
Does anyone know how many semifinalists were selected?
He is trying to work on his video and essays today - it has been a busy week at school so he’s just getting around to them now. He’s kind of stuck for ideas of how to present himself in the video. He found some online from previous years and they are all very different in terms of tone and content.
He took the Glynn video interview last night and it did not do so well he thinks. He is not fast on his feet when presented with random topic questions. Do you know if he isn’t offered any merit scholarship if the Glynn honors option is given as a sort of consolation prize? Or is there a chance he might not receive any money or honors program after all this extra work? I haven’t seen anyone receive only a Glynn honors invite without a merit invite as well.
