So by submitting the ap, we’re obligated to rent for the whole schoolyear? They better not charge extra for staying in during winter break Now I don’t know if I should submit the ap…

Wait…

You think that any apartment will let you not pay rent during winter? Are you guys out of your minds?

well they send your housing offers on June 12…

and in Uni apartment you can stay over the winter break if you want…in regular apartment you still have to pay rent over the winter (and summer unless you decide to get a new place) as long as you have the lease…

I picked Uni. Apartments for the location, furnishing, chance to make friends etc. Also it’s the closest to getting the “college experience” with the independent living and without the whiny and ******* freshmen, and since Im not getting financial aid, it’s cheaper…for summer I figure I can always stay at the co-op which is relatively cheap

Lol, I meant that the price advertised on UCLA’s housing website ought to include rent for winter break rather than expecting us to vacate for the break.

/crap10characterrulefreakinblows

What’s co-op?

uh…cooperative housing

ee_stu,

It does. I stayed in my apartment during winter break.

Just prepare to be awfully lonely. :(

lonely = porn

Hey! How’d you know?!

I mean…umm…no, never! ;)

does anyone ever get a single at ucla? I just applied for the housing and as i’ve read numerous posts i haven’t seen anything about anyone getting a single in the uni. apts.

^^ can you direct me to some of these posts?

hey citan, i think most of the people in these posts got doubles or triples. I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that they are freshman or not but i still haven’t found any posts stating that someone got a single.

elvissim00: those are residence halls…I thought you were talking about University Apartments…

Any studio west of campus and north of wilshire is going to be AT LEAST $1100, but probably closer to 12 or higher. This usually doesn’t include parking.

2 bedrooms can be found for less than $2500 in the same area, but if you’re lucky you can find a 2 bedroom w/ a dining room which allows for more options. I pay $800 for my own room and the designated parking space; one roommate pays $700 for her own room and street parking, and the other pays $550 for the dining room (2 feet smaller than my room, totally enclosed) and street parking. Good deals can be found, but you usually won’t find them on craigslist and the like.
