If you end up in different streams then you might have to call and make some noise to get placed together, since they tend to group the floors by stream—or at least they did when my daughter was a freshman. My daughter and her requested roommate ended up in different streams and I had to call and request that they be allowed to room together anyway. They were very accommodating when we stressed that it was very important both to the girls and to us, the parents who are paying for it all. Actually, we have found that whenever you find yourself lost in the weeds of big school bureaucracy, a call from a parent will usually get prompt action. I’ve only had to do it three times in three years, but each time we quickly got the result we were hoping for.</p>
