Going to see Jon Stewart (live!) any tips?

What a wonderful visit! Thanks for posting the update.

I’ve heard that Jon is even cuter in person. Care to comment?

Nice looking guy, but I wouldn’t classify him as cute. Cute seems boyish, and he’s not that. Smart, sophisticated, funny, yes, but not cute.

I went last May and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Seriously. I am a huge fan. H had a surprise trip to NYC planned for us (including 5 yr old D) and as soon as he told me, I started checking for tickets. If you check periodically through the day, every day, tickets may randomly pop up. I got my ticket a week before the taping.

Thankfully it was great weather when I was waiting for all those hours. I chatted with a girl from Barnard and her mother actually was a graduate of where my S is attending, Kalamazoo College. Small world!

I was also disappointed that they had no souvenirs. I really enjoyed Jon Stewart taking questions. I was also surprised how loud the video segments are when you’re in the studio. It tapes all on one take, they break where commercials are and it is just the half hour.

And by the way, it is John Oliver, not Jamie. Jamie is the chef; John is the correspondent. ;)
