Oh hey! I have the same plan as you! (I’m planning to go to UCR for a year, and then transfer to USC, but who knows
I may end up loving UCR and stay there for the rest of undergrad and you may too!) If you look at the USC Transfer Decisions for 2011, you’ll see A LOT of transfers making it in with 3.7s-4.0s. Keep in mind that if you’re planning to transfer after a year, they may look at your high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and extracurricular activities. Be sure not to let your grades slip once you’re at UCR! If you look at the USC website, there are certain classes that transfers have to complete before going into USC, and there are classes that transfers HAVE to take at USC. Just google “USC transfer.” Oh! And if you have a minimum of 30 credits, they possibly won’t look at your high school stuff.
Good luck and hope to see you at UCR? xD
