<p>It would be really unfortunate if LSU scaled back their OOS scholarships. The Golden Oaks was a major factor in the decision to attend LSU for a few top students that we know. </p>
<p>The proposed budget cuts outlined by the Chancellor call for $5 million in scholarship reductions, however, there is no mention of eliminating or reducing the Tiger or Golden Oaks awards in the proposed reductions. Also, in the past, I have received inaccurate information about scholarship awards on more than one occasion from the Financial Aid office at LSU. I don’t want to falsely raise hopes, but I would wait to see what info is posted on their website in the next week or so before making any conclusions.</p>
