CB is a class act.
^^^All of the above. I got tingles. And I believe you could see a lot of respect for her in that audience. She is so awesome.
I love “Shallow” and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and Mark Ronson.
I grew up watching CB. It was my parents’ favorite show.
I also grew up watching CB. She looks fabulous.
Some people shouldn’t wear dresses with deep cleavage. Just sayin…
Carol Burnett is one of my all time favs. Love so many of the characters she created—Eunice, Mrs. Wiggins, Charo’s mom…
I have admired Christian Bale since his childhood performance in “Empire of the Sun.” Now, I can’t wait to see him take on the role of Mitch McConnell… he promised!
I also liked Christian Bale’s comment that he was picked for the role because of the desire to have a performer with no charisma.
I want my kids to dedicate something to me some day. Just saying.
Darren Criss is a pleasure to listen to and oh so adorable. A star.
I can’t imagine doing seating for this.
Rachel Brosnahan - she looks great (elegant and natural) and I’m happy she won as I love the show.
@oldfort While not on the level of the Golden Globes, last year my daughter was given two different awards and I was fortunate to attend the events, which solely honored her as the only award presented. She gave a speech both times. And in both speeches, she spoke about me as a support and it meant so much. I’ll be attending another award ceremony next month where again she is the only recipient and I’m sure I’ll be teary eyed. I think it is just great on national award shows when recipients speak to those who supported them when young and on their way up. ![]()
Watching the “return.” (Had guests over earlier).
Jeff Bridges still rocks. Gotta love the look on his wife’s face - she looks at him like they just began dating.
I am just gobsmacked - happily gobsmacked - that both “Green Book” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” were the big winners. I really enjoyed both movies and never expected them to win anything.
Oh - and Alfonso Cuaron. So happy for him, too.
@abasket He is! Did you watch him as Andrew Cunanan? His performance was chilling.
My husband and I burst out laughing at Dick Van Dyke’s remark: “I spotted Carol Burnett out there and I said, my God, I know her!” Seemed like not many in the crowd got the joke.
I have loved Darren Criss since Glee. I loved the Versace series also.
CB is my all time favorite! I made a note to look for the series on the DVD! Great memories watching that with my mom.
For those of us admiring Lady Gaga’s luscious gown, turns out she was paying homage to Judy Garland’s gown in the 1954 version of the movie. http://time.com/5495077/lady-gaga-golden-globes-a-star-is-born/
